Post-hardcore/emo-pop quintette Hawthorne Heights came to life in the summer of 2001. Originally called A Day in the Life, the Dayton, OH, collective saw numerous batting order changes and shifting music styles sooner subsiding on its flowing formation. However, controversy came to a head in early August when Hawthorne Heights suddenly proclaimed that not only were they departure Victory Records (despite a contractual obligation of deuce more albums for the label), just also suing them all over respective issues including unpaid royalties and tarnishing their discover and relationship with fans over the aforementioned incident (the band claimed to have no noesis of the street team letter that was issued as though personally from them). In a statement issued online, the dance orchestra compared their fourth dimension at the label to being in an "abusive relationship" and straight attacked "greed driven" label chief Tony Brummel. As issues were sorted out behind the scenes (and Victory counter-sued the banding claiming they simply wanted to jump to a major), Hawthorne Heights continued touring nationwide and served as headliners on the fall 2006 translation of the democratic Nintendo Fusion Tour with openers Relient K, the Sleeping, and more.

On their 1998 debut album, Evanescent, Everfading, Fall of the Leafe displayed the distinctive qualities of Finnish heavy metal: a bevy of Scandinavian expiry and designate metal tricks spliced with tribe music and laden with grandiose vocal titles. Formed in the town of Turku iI old age earlier by singer Jani Lindström, guitarists Jussi Hänninen and Kaj Gustafsson, bassist Juha Kouhi, and drummer Marko Hyytiä, the chemical group had issued a identification number of demos leading up to their first base contract with bantam independent label Defiled, just they were clear noneffervescent probing for a comfortable direction to pursue. Enter new vocaliser Tuomas Tuominen and keyboardist Petri Hannuniemi, world Health Organization helped flesh out the band's sound with mediaeval overtones for the sophomore Lordly Wernicke in 2000. Recorded with returning guitar player Gustafsson (he'd been temporarily replaced by Mika Rostedt on the said L.P), 2002's Fermina showed even more improvement while bringing Fall of the Leafe closer to the more conventional, if still somewhat skew, style of hard stone made popular by Finnish headliners Amorphis. This direction was farther explored by 2004's Volvere (introducing unexampled drummer Matias Aaltonen), which was Fall of the Leafe's first recording for English independent Rage of Achilles Records.

Frank Sinatra - Sinatra Letter To Be Auctioned

An angry letter FRANK SINATRA sent to a Catholic priest attacking the men who were jailed for kidnapping his son is expected to fetch $36,000 (GBP18,000) at auction.

The late crooner fired off the type-written missive in 1964 to Federal Bureau of Prisons Chaplain Roger Schmit, after Schmit had asked him to forgive the men who snatched Frank Sinatra Jr the previous year, when he was 19.

He also addresses rumours his son was in on the plot, writing, "You have had no prior relationship to the Sinatra family. It is presumptuous for you to ask us to forgive them... Up to this time I have remained silent about the harm done to my son by the claim of 'hoax', but your letter, written in the name of God, has caused me to break the silence."

Memorabilia collectors can bid on Momentsintime.com.

Spears' family fear for her life

Following her unexpected release from a Los Angeles hospital yesterday, the parents of troubled singer Britney Spears have said that they believe her life is at risk.
In a joint statement given to The Associated Press, Jamie and Lynne Spears said they were "extremely disappointed" about their daughter's release from the UCLA Medical Center where she had been undergoing psychiatric evaluation.
The statement said: "As parents of an adult child in the throes of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe."
The statement continued: "We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted."
The Los Angeles Times reported that Spears left the UCLA Medical Center quietly with a small security group.
However paparazzi later followed the singer when she left her home.
Spears was tailed by photographers to the Beverly Hills Hotel where police broke up the crowd and escorted the 26-year-old inside.
It was not clear why Spears, who it was reported had been ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation for two weeks, was released from hospital.
A UCLA Medical Center spokesman refused to comment, citing patient confidentiality laws.
